We finished all our assessments so Mrs. Lawson can work on report cards. These will be coming home around the 11th of January. We had a great time at the movies. Student’s BEHAVIOR was AWESOME. I was proud of them. If you were unable to make it, your movie pass will be sent home with Christmas wishes. Our Holiday party was a blast. Thanks to everyone who sent in sweatshirts, stockings, goodies for the stockings, and food for the party. Making the edible trees was a lot of fun. Everyone looked cute in their reindeer shirts. Mrs. Lawson's News

I hope everyone enjoyed their break. We are getting ready to begin December next week. December is always packed with lots of learning, assessments, and crafts. The boys and girls start to get really excited about the holidays. Next week we will begin our Holiday Unit that goes until Christmas Break. We incorporate reading, writing, and math skills into our holiday themes of trees, Santa, ornaments, reindeer, and many others. Our AIMS testing will be next week. I have pre-assessed the students and I am very happy with their growth. If you have not been practicing you might want to pull out the packet and review (especially on the phonemic segmentation- you say a word: cat and the student breaks it into the sounds c-a-t. We will be testing in reading and math next week. Next Wednesday is Ms. Martin’s last day. She has been a great asset to our class and we will miss her. She has done a great job. If your child would like to make her a card, please return by Monday. I am putting them all together for her to remember her time here. Put their initials in all coat labels. SEND WINTER COATS. We go out unless it is below freezing as much as possible. Also please send a winter change of clothes to keep at school in case of an accident. ** We have PE on Wednesday and Thursday IMPORTANT DATES: AIMS Testing 12/3 and 12/5 Ms. Martin’s last day 12/5 Math Club 12/5 SBDM meeting and Bazaar 12/6 Parent’s Night Out 12/7 6:00-9 pm *Please continue to complete reading homework and sign Reading Logs. *Sight words that we are working on in class include: I, am, the, little, to, a, have, is , my, we, like, he, for, me, with, she.
