753-5022 Stacey.lawson@murray.kyschools.us In the Classroom: For the week of: Jan 21-25 NO SCHOOL MONDAY the 21st Phonics: Our letter for the week is “Hh” Reading: Please continue to work with your child each night in their reading folder. It has been made just for his/her level. Math: We will have lots of activities with the number 100, grouping into groups of 10, addition, and tally marks. Theme: Martin Luther King and 100th Day of School Home Connections: This week we got to experience some true winter COLD. We were sad to have to stay in for recess. It has to be above freezing to go outside. Flu season is upon us, and we are trying our best to prevent illness in our room. We are being vigilant about washing hands and covering our coughs. We are sanitizing our desks each day and are going through the sanitizing wipes. We are reminding them to wash their hands as much as possible to eliminate spreading of germs If you could send in a container to help keep our class healthy, it would be appreciated!!! Reminders **Send a winter coat each day. We will go outside if above freezing. **Thanks for the glue sticks. I have ordered more and hopefully they will be in soon. If your child is ill, please keep them home until they are fever free for 24 hours.
